STUDENT VETERANS of america

THE CHALLENGE

On October 4, 2023, I became a Delta tier member of Central Piedmont Community College’s SALUTE chapter, a Veterans Honor Society recognizing service as soldiers and students. Established in 2021, our chapter builds its identity within the Student Veterans of America (SVA). Joining honors commitment, perseverance, and excellence among service members pursuing education. SALUTE’s tiered membership recognizes academic achievement and fosters support for veterans. Our chapter connects veterans, sharing experiences and aiding academic and professional goals, promoting camaraderie in the college community.

MY APPROACH

The Student Veterans of America (SVA) provides guidelines for developing institutional identity. I created promotional assets with senior members to attract new members. This involved graphics, flyers, and social media content for student veterans. My goal is to create informative materials that engage and invite potential members into our supportive community.

THE SOLUTION

Creating an identity for our student organization has been rewarding, challenging my creativity and deepening my connection to our mission. I take pride in the challenge coin for CPCC’s Chapter of SALUTE, symbolizing camaraderie among student veterans. Each design choice reflects our dedication to the club. My goal is to build a legacy of giving back as a student and veteran, inspiring others. Let our challenge coin remind us of our journey and commitment. SALUTE!
